Biographical Note
Since 1986, Robert Weibel has designed and led
intensive training seminars on international multilateral and bilateral
negotiations, including conflict resolution, mediation and chairmanship.
In Europe: EU Member States, the European Commission, the European
Parliament and CEEC countries.
From 1989 until 1997: Visiting Associate Professor at the European
Institute of Public Administration (EIPA), project leader and chief
negotiation trainer for the European Negotiations seminars.
EU Presidency chairmanship preparation seminars for Member States since
1988: Austria, Denmark, Greece, Luxembourg, Italy, Portugal, Spain, The
United Kingdom, Finland as well as Sweden and Belgium.
Consulting activities for the United Nations: Climate Change and
Desertification Conventions, humanitarian aid (UNHCR), trade with
Developing Countries (UNCTAD), as well as Non-Proliferation (NPT).
Diplomatic training activities for Foreign Ministries of EU and EFTA
states, Central and Eastern European, MERCOSUR, Latin American countries
and Vietnam. Special programmes have been organized for the diplomatic
communities posted in Geneva and Brussels.
Programmes conducted for the Deutche Bundesbank and the European Central
Bank as well as International Organisations such as the International
Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Air Transport
Association (IATA).
